Professor Long is originally from Idaho and received her bachelors degree in泭economics from Westminster 91勛圖厙, a liberal arts college in Salt Lake City, Utah.泭She completed her PhD in Economics at Colorado State University in Spring 2019.泭Her research is in the areas of household finance and gender and feminist泭economics. She explores the evidence for and causes of systematic inequality in泭household debt and in access to low-cost consumer credit by race, ethnicity, and泭gender. Her research also explores the implications of such inequality on泭households financial security, educational outcomes, and labor market choices.泭Professor Long has taught courses including泭the Economics of Gender, Principles of泭Microeconomics, Principles of Economics, Applied Regression, and the History of泭Economic Thought.
